Supporting Salish School of Spokane’s Capital Campaign

We were so honored to have LaRae Wiley and Chris Parkin join us from Salish School of Spokane! LaRae Wiley, Salish School of Spokane's founder, says, “it took many hands to push down Salish language and culture, and it will take many hands to lift it up again.” Christianity was the leading force in Indigenous cultural suppression. We believe Christians should be first to lend our hands to the work of repair.

Salish School of Spokane is in the midst of a $12.7M capital campaign to build a new school and cultural center by the Spokane River. As we learned from Sarah Augustine earlier this year, we must follow Indigenous leadership as we work toward repair, like by supporting Salish School's capital campaign.
