Westminster is known as a praying church. Every week, we spend a portion of the Sunday worship service sharing both the trials and joys that we and our families and friends are experiencing. Afterwards, we lift them up in prayer as a congregation. These same requests are also printed in the next week’s worship bulletin.
If you would like to have something included during this time, please send us your request below. You do not have to give your full name (or even a real one) – we just need a way to identify you.
Thoughts on Prayer . . .
“Help” is a prayer that is always answered. It doesn’t matter how you pray–with your head bowed in silence, or crying out in grief, or dancing. Churches are good for prayer, but so are garages and cars and mountains and showers and dance floors. ”
“The function of prayer is not to influence God, but rather change the nature of the one who prays.”
“Prayer is not an old woman’s idle amusement. Properly understood and applied, it is the most potent instrument of action.”
