Many small groups have developed in the congregation over the years. Westminster is open to the creation of new small groups of interest whenever someone wishes to take leadership and create one!
(Note: although meeting days/times are listed below, please check with the calendar to make sure it is meeting.)
Poetry Group – This group gathers to read and write poetry together. It usually meets the third Tuesday each month at 2:00 pm in the afternoon except in the summer months.
Book & Salad Club - This group meets the third Monday each month at 12:00 pm, at the facilitator's home, to share a meal and discuss a book. Bible Studies/Discussion - This group meets seasonally, in homes, with Pastor Andy facilitating the sharing of a book or movie(s) that facilitate understanding, dialogue and respectful discussion.
Women’s Fellowship Chapters:
Joanna Chapter’s mission statement is a combination of its history and its future. We continue calling on our compassion and our spiritual gifts while focusing on service to others as we move forward. We promote a clear line of communication with friends, members and associates of Westminster Congregational United Church of Christ. This communication will focus on honoring the volunteer ministry while understanding our dedication to supporting joys, sorrows, celebrations and special occasions. Joanna Chapter meets the second Wednesday each month at 11:30 am at Brookdale Senior Living center.
Michal Chapter is a women’s group open to all women of Westminster Congregational United Church of Christ. Michal meets monthly for the purpose of building friendships, growing in our spiritual journey, supporting the wider congregation with service projects including hospitality, church nursery support, fundraising. Michal Chapter meets the fourth Monday each month at 7:30 pm in the church parlor.
Michal Chapter’s book table is a popular stop during the Christmas Mini-Mart.
