Andrea "Andy" CastroLang, Senior Pastor

Pastor Andy has provided hope filled, energetic leadership to this congregation since 2002.  For Andy, the life of the church flows from  meaningful  experiences of worship and community-making  that are welcoming, inclusive, and provide openings for spiritual growth.  Her ministry focuses not on rules that limit the Christian life, but rather on the possibilities that give it hope, and expand the realm of compassion, justice and peace. 

Andy has brought her leadership into the community through work with the Spokane Alliance, Leadership Spokane, and ecumenical & denominational clergy groups.  Her ministry has involved her in programs at Whitworth and Gonzaga Universities.  She is a leader in the Pacific Northwest Conference of the United Church of Christ as Chair of the Eastside Committe on the Ministry.  Her pastoral ministry enables her to support people in the church and downtown area with a variety of life survival needs. 

Andy officiates at weddings, holy unions and commitment ceremonies, baptisms, funerals and memorial services both at Westminster and in the community.

Andy holds a Master of Divinity from San Francisco Theological Seminary (1998).  Previously she served as a Pastor in Nebraska.
